Cash For Appliances Statistics
Statistics found on this page will be provided by the company processing Cash For Appliances rebates for the California Energy Commission and posted here by the Commission Web Team.
Funds for administration of the program are not included in the amount of "cash remaining." The original amount of funds from federal government: $35,200,000. Under federal regulations for the program, administrative costs can not exceed 10 percent, or $3.52 million. The final amount available for rebates is $31,680,000. If adminstrative costs do not reach the 10 percent, the remaining funds will go toward rebates.
Program Update as of 10/11/2010: The Energy Commission has consolidated applications to include removing of duplicate and re-submitted applications. This data now accounts for the actual amount of rebates requested by appliance category.

*** Unspecified Counts are incomplete applications that have been received that have not designated the type of appliance that was purchased. These incomplete applications are designated as clothes washers, dishwashers, freezers, refrigerators, or room air conditioners. This is based on the average amount per rebate of $150.
